CzechGlobe management believes that high quality employees contribute significantly to success of an institution. Therefore in CzechGlobe, a considerable attention is devoted to human resources development and management. A well performed human resources management is perceived as a pre-condition for a successful and effective management of the organization as a whole.
The four-year long project EGERA (Effective Gender Equality in the Academia and Research) funded by Framework Programme 7 forms a part of activities aiming at enhancing development and management of human resources in the organization. The project focuses on structural change promoting gender equality.
Gender Equality Action Plan

CzechGlobe director prof. Michal V. Marek spoke on the need to support implementation of gender equality in an interview for the April issue of the newsletter of the National Contact Centre Gender and Science.
In the month of October 2015, a two-day training for CzechGlobe managers and team leaders was held in Brno under the guidance of experts from Radboud University in Nijmegen, the Netherlands. The method of Group Model Building was used throughout the training.
The international conference Gender Mainstreaming in STEM and Global Change Sciences was held in the premises of the Czech Academy of Sciences in Brno on 14 and 15 October 2015. The conference presentations and photographs you can find here (12.2 MB) .
Partner organizations of the EGERA project have prepared, under the guidance of the University of Antwerp, a charter for gender-sensitive communication, both within academic institutions and in communication with the outside world. CzechGlobe director, prof. Michal V. Marek, signed the document on 4th December 2015. The English version of the charter can be downloaded here (964.9 KB) .
