CzechGlobe expert will coordinate one of the key chapters of the IPBES evaluation report

Zuzana Harmáčková has been selected by the Multidisciplinary Expert Panel of IPBES (Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services) as a coordinating lead author of one of the key chapters in the upcoming „IPBES Nexus Assessment“.

The assessment will be issued in 2024 and will focus on factors threatening four areas key for good quality of life: biodiversity conservation, food production, water availability and human health. At the same time, the report will summarize available knowledge on potential solutions. The assessment will be developed by around two hundred experts from different global regions and is aimed to have a scientific and political impact comparable to the IPCC climate assessments.
