On Thursday, July 16, the mayor of Brno, JUDr. Markéta Vaňková, and other city representatives visited GCRI CAS – CzechGlobe. Together with the management and representatives of CzechGlobe, they discussed their current cooperation and options for its enhancement in the future. The main topic of the meeting was their cooperation regarding the SUWAC project, which addresses sustainable water management in the Dyje river basin and which is coordinated by CzechGlobe and supported and sponsored by the city of Brno. Other discussions concerned CzechGlobe’s cooperation with the city of Brno on the preparation of a new zoning plan, the issue of efficient energy management in the city using predictive climate forecasts, and the project of community cooperation in the field of climate measures in the city.
