Katharine Hayhoe visited CzechGlobe

Esteemed and world renowned climate scientist Katharine Hayhoe visited CzechGlobe. Katharine is currently chief Scientist for The Nature Conservancy and is also a Paul Whitfield Horn Distinguished Professor and the Political Science Endowed Chair in Public Policy and Public Law in the Department of Political Science at Texas Tech University.

Katharine studied the field of atmospheric physics at the University of Illinois and is a co-author of more than 125 peer-reviewed publications, including chapters in key publications of the U.S. Global Change Research Program.

Katharine Hayhoe presented at ChzechGlobe a lecture on topic “From Awareness to Action: Catalyzing Change in a Warming World”, which was dealing with effective ways of communicating climate change in relationship to streghten and motivate individual and societal actions towards reducing emission of greenhouse gases. Katharine Hayhoe during the lecture emphasised several times, that climate change presents most serious threat facing humanity, seriously impacting humanity today, and that we know what we have to do.
