From 17 to 18 May 2022, the 16th General Assembly of the ICOS ERIC consortium, which manages the activities of the European research infrastructure ICOS (Integrated Carbon Observation System), took place in Prague. The meeting took place in the Apollon Hall in Vila Lanna, a conference and hotel facility of the Czech Academy of Sciences.

Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2022/289 of 22 February 2022 established the European Research Infrastructure Consortium for the analysis and experimentation with AnaEE-ERIC ecosystems. The founding institutions include the Global Change Research Institute CAS – CzechGlobe.
The Intergovernmental Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services has launched two major new assessments: The Transformative Change Assessment, and the Nexus Assessment. Researchers from the Department of Human Dimensions of Global Change are taking important roles in both.
Zuzana Harmáčková has been selected by the Multidisciplinary Expert Panel of IPBES (Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services) as a coordinating lead author of one of the key chapters in the upcoming „IPBES Nexus Assessment“.
