Anotace projektu:
Agriculture is contributing a significant share of the greenhouse gas emissions that are causing climate change: 17% directly through agricultural activities and an additional 7% to 14% through changes in land use. The increasing scale of potential climate impacts give urgency to addressing agricultural adaptation more coherently. The purpose of undertaking agricultural adaptation is to effectively manage potential climate risks over the coming decades as climate changes. The innovation idea is to create a Climate Smart Agriculture Hub in the Central Eastern European region, which will have multiple objectives. A?er the in itial stakeholder engagement, the need for establishing a strong, active and diverse group, a CSA HUB, able to articulate the innovation needs and link the most important parties of the topic seems to be burning. Not only because the region is missing a strong cohesion in order to fight against the more a nd more frequent and severe impacts of climate change, but also because this cooperation will enable other impact pathways, and lead to greater systemic changes in the agricultural scene. Through a thoroug h and deep mapping, identification and selection process of the regional actors, the CSA Hub will gather those who are commi_ed to bring changes in the current agricultural system, and moreover have the capacity and the power to implement the necessary changes. The CEE CSA Hub is an experiment. In 2019 the main objective is to validate the idea of its creation and capability to make changes happen.
